About the Origin
Papua New Guinea
In Papua New Guinea (PNG), coffee farming is predominantly carried out by smallholder farmers nestled in the country’s highlands. High altitudes and humid equatorial climate provide an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. Farmers implement traditional techniques, such as hand picking, to ensure quality, and intercropping, to promote agroforestry and enrich soil fertility. In PNG coffee production isn’t just about cultivation, but rather supporting the community.
